Deviants of the sects like Jamaath-E-Islam & Ikhwanul Muslimeen

After the fall of the caliphate in 1924, the sorrow of the Muslim world for many years was the caliphate. This was the reason behind the forming of sects like Jamaath-E-Islam, Ikhwanul Muslimeen, Hizbuth Thahreer and hundreds of other sects. [There is no much differences among these sects]. With this understanding in mind it will be easy to understand the deviants of these sect. 

Wrong Interpretation given to the Kalima

They interpret the kalima “La ilaaha illallah” as “Legislation is for none, except Allah” and they have named it as Thawheedh Al Haakimiyyah. The likes of Moulaana Mawdhoodhi and Seyyid Qutub were the firs to give such an interpretation.

“Legislation is for none, except Allah” was one of the main arguements put forward by the Khawaarij who rebelled against Ali (rali Allaahu anhu).

Trying to emphasis their ideaology they say that; Like Thawheedh Ar Ruboobiyyah and Thawheedh Al Uloohiyyah, Thawheedh Al Haakimiyyah too is an aspect of Thawheedh. Thawheedh Al Haakimiyyah is the most important aspect of Thawheedh, It was to preach Thawheedh Al Haakimiyyah that Allah sent prophets were sent through out history.

There is no doubt Legislation is for none except Allah, but that is not the interpretation of the kalima, nor is it the main purpose of Allah sending prophets.

The correct interpretation and the purpose of the prophets preaching La ilaaha illallaah is that “There is no diety worthy of being worshipped except Allah”, the verses below are enough of a proof for that.

And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, “There is no deity except Me, so worship Me.” [Quran 21:25]

‘And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming), ‘Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid Taghoot (false deities).’ [Quran 16:36]

wrong principle; obeying itself is a worship

To emphasis this principle they say that “Obeying a person is worshiping that person (Shirk). when there is a law of Allah in a particular issue, and if a person leaves the command of Allah and obeys his parents or to the ones in the authority, he is actually worshiping them”. further they say “If one obeys his inner desires, leaving Allah’s command he is actually worshiping his inner desire”

for example they say “The man taking dowry is forbidden by Allah, if he obeys his parent who tells him to take dowry he is worshiping his parents”

From all this principles they expect the people to understand that obeying the rulers who rule by a law other than the law of Allah is actually worshiping those rulers, so they need to rebel and bring a ruler who rules by the law of Allah – because their main aim is to bring up what ‘they’ claim as an Islamic caliphate.

This is not a principle of Islam, rather this principle is created by them to serve their purpose.

What we can learn from the prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is that If a person accept the law of Allah, and disobeys Allah and obeys to someone else or to his inner desire due to the weakness in eemaan he will only be considered as a sinner and not as a mushrik (one who associates partners to Allah)

Prostitution, which is an act of obeying the inner desire is taught by our prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) only as a sin, and not as Shirk. If obeying the inner desire is actually worshiping the desire then the prophet would have taught it as a shirk.

Note:- They themselves contradict  to this wrong principle by accepting some of the laws of their imams which are against the laws of Allah. Their imams have made Music, cinema free mixing, handshake with Non-Mahram as halaal.

The above two principles are the route cause for the emergence of terror groups like ISIS, AlQaeda, Boko Haraam and many others.

Takfeer – Verdict of kufr on the entire Muslim Umma

According to the above two principles no one can be a Muslim today, so their leaders like Seyyid Qutub and Mawdhoodhi have given verdict that the entire Umma (including themselves) is in kufr and these sects have accepted it even though they don’t tell it publicly.

One of their leader Yusuf Al Qardawi himself is a witness to it, He says in his book “Priorities of the Islamic Movement” (Awlawiyaath Al harakaath Al Islaamiya) pg110 :

And it was in this period that the books of the Shaheed, Seyyid Qutub appeared, the books that represented his final thoughts (in ideology, before his death). Those which justified the Takfeer of (whole) societies… the breaking of all sentimental attachments to society, breaking off ties with others, and the announcement of a destructive jihad against the whole of mankind. And showing contempt against the du?at who call for lenience and softness, accusing them of idiocy, and being defeatist [Saying all of this], in front of the western civilisation. He made this manifest, in the most clear manner in the tafsir, “Fee Zilaal il-Qur’aan“, in the 2nd edition and in “Ma’alim fit-Tariq” (Milestones), and the bulk of it is taken from “Zilal” and “Al-Islam wa Mushkilat al-Hadaarah” and others…

Preference to (their) Islamic Caliphate

They do not esteem sunnah to be high, their leaders like Muhammad Al Gazzali, Yusuf Al Qarlawi and other have defamed the sunnah with their words. The above three wrong principles inorder to make (their) Islamic Caliphate the highest preference.

But, If one studies the life of the prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) he will realize that the prophet has given much preference to Aqeedha.

Induce rebellion against the ruler

They induce people to rebel against the rulers, this is a main part of their Dha’wa ever since they began, but Islam has forbidden it.

The Prophet (sallAllahu alaihi wasallam) said: “There will appear after me rulers, they will not guide by my guidance, and they will not establish my Sunnah; there will be amongst them men whose hearts will be hearts of devils in the bodies of men!” He was asked: “How should I behave, O Messenger of Allāh, if I reach that time?” He replied: “Hear and obey the Amīr (i.e. the ruler), even if he beats your back and [illegally] takes your wealth – hear and obey!” [Saheeh Muslim]

and in some other hadeeth it says, “Until you see a clear Kufr”

So just because the ruler is tyrant, we cant rebel against him unless we see a clear cut kufr.

Manhaj of the Mu’thazila

Matters like the advent of Dajjaal, advent of Mahdi, Yajooj Majooj, spliting of the Moon, punishments in the grave, etc… are not accepted by their leaders. You cannot find anything regarding these issues in any of their lectures or books, they stay silent rather  than telling it publicly and getting refuted by a salafi.

Hizbuth Thahreer has made it a principle among them to reject Hadees Al Aahaadh in the issues of Aqeedha.

we do not know what they accept regarding Asma was Sifaath, even if they accept the salafiyyah ideology they wouldn’t preach it or tell it pubicly because that is not a matter of concern to them, they don’t care anything about the Aqeedha except what they have introduced as Aqeedha.

Allying the Shiites.

If a person or any sect gives preference to Islamic Caliphate they just ally with him/them, they don’t care what is the Aqeedha of that sect. hence; they ally with the shiites whom the majority of Ahlus Sunnah have declared as Kaafirs, and they are a people who work against Ahlus Sunnah.

It was Jamaath E Islaam that introduced Shia to Sri Lanka by giving a good picture about them in their monthly Magazine Alhasanath of 1979.

Their leaders have even said that the shiaism is just another madhhab like the 4 madhhabs.

Speaking ill of the Messengers of Allah and the Sahaaba.

Their leaders have written ill about prophet Moosa (alaihi salaam) & Dhawoodh (alaihi salaam) and declared Mu’aawiya (rali Allahu anhu) as a Munafiq.

For example: Seyyid Qutub says in At Tasweer Al Fannee Fil Qur’an [Quotes 28:15]

Let us take Moosa – he is the example of a fiery, excitable leader

speaking ill of the sahaabas itself is an evident that they are a deviant.

May Allah protect us from such deviants.
